Deep Bed Filter systems are high-efficiency fluid-filtration units designed to purify metal chips, cutting fluids (soluble oil) contaminated with particles and dust, and valuable industrial oils.

Through integration of disposable filter paper, they fully adapt to the requirements of different manufacturing processes and maintain the quality of coolants and lubricating fluids at the highest level.

Our system delivers excellent results across a broad range of applications, including:

Grinding and honing operations,

CNC machining centers and lathe lines,

Rolling mills,

Industrial parts-washing and polishing lines.

Depending on the nature of the machining processes and the chip load, a magnetic separator (magnetic filter) can be integrated into the deep-bed belt-filter system to remove iron-based magnetic particles before the main filter. This optimizes filter-paper consumption and extends filtration life.

Deep bed filters operate with a 3-stage cycle that optimizes fluid dynamics and the principle of gravity:

Contaminated coolant is fed without pressure into the filtration zone of the filter through the inlet distribution manifold. The fluid passes through the filter paper and reaches the clean-fluid tank in the lower reservoir.

The special deep geometry of the filter bed allows the fluid level to rise in a controlled manner, increasing effective use of the filter-paper surface area.

Metal dust and fine particles accumulating on the paper gradually form a secondary filter cake (dynamic layer). This natural layer further improves filtration accuracy and clarity.

As the process progresses, particle accumulation on the paper reduces fluid permeability and the fluid level begins to rise. When the pre-calibrated level sensor is triggered, the drive motor engages; the contaminated and clogged paper is automatically conveyed to the waste hopper (dirty bin) while fresh filter paper is laid in its place. This uninterrupted operating cycle is continuously repeated through automation.

The system architecture is supported by integrated clean-fluid tanks for storing the filtered fluid.

Tank volumes are determined through engineering calculations according to the facility's coolant flow rate (L/min.). The treated fluid can be:

delivered to washing or cooling points on the machine by low-pressure circulation pumps,

pumped directly into the machine tool's internal fluid-delivery system by high-pressure pumps.
