Scrap conveyors are heavy-duty conveyors used to safely and systematically convey metal scrap, cut pieces, press remnants, and other production waste generated during production processes.
They are used particularly to remove scrap generated in metalworking, press machines, foundries, and automated production lines from the production area and transfer it to a central collection point.
In addition to the 31.75 mm, 38.10 mm, 50.80 mm, and 63.50 mm pitches in our standard manufacturing program, larger pitches can be produced according to need and request.
Pitch selection is determined through engineering calculations based on volumetric chip flow rate (hourly conveying capacity), conveyor dimensional geometry, and mechanical load factors.
Conveyor control can be provided through a separate automation panel integrated into the conveyor housing for local control, and through Hart/Socket connector connections for synchronized communication and centralized control directly with the CNC/PLC unit of the CNC machine.
Scrap conveyors can be manufactured in custom dimensions with the flexibility to fully match process requirements and site-layout dimensions.
Thanks to the reinforced conveyor housing and high-strength steel belt-plate geometry, they provide a long service life and trouble-free operation for many years when periodic maintenance procedures are fully carried out.
